When can my child start training?
You are welcome to bring your child along to any class that suits you. We have enough instructors and assistant instructors to help new students at any level of fitness or ability. Our classes are friendly and welcoming to new students.
When attending a class for the first time, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the start time to enable us to discuss your requirements and to meet your child and familiarise them with our instructors. We have found that it is more overwhelming for them to enter a room full of existing students and it helps if they are one of the first there and can be introduced to the instructors in advance.
When we come along to class, what should my child wear?
They should wear comfortable, loose clothes such as jogging bottoms and a t-shirt with trainers. They may also want to bring a water bottle (with their name on it!).
Can my child watch a class first before they join in?
Of course they can! However, neither of you will be able to appreciate the full content of the class until they join in. Each child settles into a new environment at their own pace and we will work with you if you have a particularly shy child. You can always participate in the class together until he/she feels able to take part on their own.
What will I need to pay?
You are able to attend a free trial lesson at no obligation. If after this you decide to carry on with Wing Chun training, we will discuss how many sessions per week you would like your child to attend and let you know how much this will be. We collect our fees by monthly direct debit but only ask for one month's notice if you wish to cancel.
If you have more than one child who would like to learn Wing Chun Kung Fu, or if there are other members of the family who would like to train, we offer various discounts for multiple family members.
